Magic Earth Android Is Crashing on Startup
Summary:
If Magic Earth closes immediately after opening or fails to load past the splash screen, it’s usually caused by outdated app data, storage issues, or permission conflicts. Follow these steps to resolve the problem and get the app running again.
Steps:
For Android:
1. Restart your phone or tablet.
2. Ensure Magic Earth is updated through Google Play Store → Manage Apps & Device → Updates Available.
3. Go to Settings → Apps → Magic Earth → Storage, then tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
4. If the crash persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.5. Check for system updates under Account→ Settings → Send feedback.
6. Please share the logs with us at www.support.magicearth.com
Notes:
Crashes often occur when the app cache or downloaded map files are corrupted during an update.
Avoid force-closing the app during initial setup or while maps are downloading.
If the crash happens after login or during navigation, please send diagnostic logs via Settings → Feedback → Send Logs (at www.support.magicearth.com).
