Magic Earth IOS Is Crashing on Startup

Summary:

If Magic Earth closes immediately after opening or fails to load past the splash screen, it’s usually caused by outdated app data, storage issues, or permission conflicts. Follow these steps to resolve the problem and get the app running again.

Steps:

For iOS:

1. Restart your iPhone or iPad – temporary cache errors can cause startup crashes.

2. Ensure your device runs iOS 16 or newer and that Magic Earth is updated to the latest version via the App Store.

3. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services and confirm Magic Earth has at least “While Using the App” permission.

4. If the issue persists: Delete the app. Restart your device. Reinstall Magic Earth from the App Store.

5. If reinstalling doesn’t help, check for available iOS updates or contact Apple Support to rule out system-level issues.

Notes:

  • Crashes often occur when the app cache or downloaded map files are corrupted during an update.
  • Avoid force-closing the app during initial setup or while maps are downloading.
  • If the crash happens after login or during navigation, please send diagnostic logs via Settings → Feedback → Send Logs (at www.support.magicearth.com).
