Is Account Login Required for Offline Navigation?

Summary:

You do not need to log in to your Magic Earth account to use offline maps or navigation. However, some features like activity recording require an active account login.

Steps:

You can access and download Offline Maps from Settings → Offline Maps without signing in.

If you have an active subscription, you can use offline navigation even while not logged in.
All data is strictly tied to your iCloud backups, enabled in the advanced settings tab. We don't collect or store any customer information in the account database.

Account login is only necessary for:

Recording and viewing Activities

Syncing Favourites and Routes across devices

Notes:

If login fails due to limited connectivity, you’ll still have access to previously downloaded offline maps.

Activities and favourites will sync automatically once you reconnect and log in.
