How to Change Units for Distance (Kilometers, Miles)
Summary:
Magic Earth allows you to customize how distance and temperature values appear on your maps and during navigation. You can switch between kilometers and miles for routes, and between Celsius and Fahrenheit for weather and temperature displays — all from a single settings menu.
Steps:
Both Android & Ios
- Open the Magic Earth app.
- Tap the Account icon → Settings → General > Distances.
- Under Distance Units, select one of the following:
- Kilometers (km) – Metric system
- Miles (mi) – Imperial system
- Kilometers (km) – Metric system
- Temperature Units are based on the device settings.
- Exit Settings and your selections will apply automatically.
Notes:
- These settings affect all distance values shown in search results, navigation routes, and ETA displays.
- Temperature units apply to weather widgets and live weather overlays (if enabled).
- The preferences are stored locally, so they remain active even after restarting the app.
