- Unlock Developer Settings:
- Open your phone's Settings and navigate to the Android Auto settings (usually found under Apps or Connected devices).
- Scroll to the bottom and find the "Version and permission info" section.
- Tap repeatedly (about 10 times) on this entry until a dialog appears and confirms that Developer mode is enabled.
- Enable Unknown Sources:
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select "Developer settings."
- Check the box next to "Unknown Sources."
- Install and Connect:
- Install your APK onto your phone via sideloading (e.g., via ADB or a file manager).
- Connect your phone to your car via USB or wirelessly.
- Your sideloaded app should now appear in the car's Android Auto launcher
